Questionnaire

1.) Gender

This shows that the majority of people who answered this survey were females, as they made up 60% of the surveys. So this shows that we used a good balance of male and females in answering this survey.

2.) Age

This graph also shows that we used a good balance of age ranges, but mainly opted for the 15-24 age category, as we targeted these people as our main audience. However we also had answers from the 35-44 and 45-54 age group, so we got a good balance of the younger and older generations.

3.) Preferred horror style

This question shows the preferred horror style of the audience, and the results showed that the majority of people preferred a psychological horror, as it got 7 votes, 4 being from females, and 3 from males. However females also prefer a good thriller as well.

4.) How often do you visit the cinema?

This question shows the amount that a person would say they visit the cinema. The suggested people mainly said that they visited the cinema monthly or in other ways.

5.) Do you prefer horrors to other genres?

This chart shows that the majority of the audience who participated in our survey did not favour the horror genre, as all the males voted with a 'no,' and only two females voted yes.

6.) Which one of these factors makes you want to watch a horror?

The main reason for most people deciding to watch a film, which is shown by this bar chart is through word of mouth of as this received 7 votes (2 male, 5 female), and also through the film having a good trailer as this received 9 votes. (4 male, 5 female)

7.) Film budget

This chart shows the percentage of the female population of this survey, that preferred either high budget or low budget films. This shows that 3/4's of the females prefer high budget films.


This chart shows the percentage of males, and shows whether they had a preference to high budget or low budget films. This shows that the preference from males was a high budget film.


8.) Do you prefer the cinema to watching DVD's/Blu ray?

This chart proves that the majority of people were not swayed by the thought of going to the cinema, as the male results were equal at 3 votes each, and the females decided that 6:3 they did prefer the cinema. However it does not show that people were fully convinced by the thought of the cinema compared to a DVD or Blu ray.

9.) Would you consider buying a horror on DVD/Blu ray?

This chart shows that the majority of people would buy a horror film on DVD/Blu ray, as this got 11 votes for, and only 4 against. So it convincingly shows that the outright majority of people would purchase a horror on DVD/Blu ray.
