My mood board shows many of the ideas that were included in our film. The main theme of our film was German warfare, and the idea of adding a gas mask in order to create terror and fear worked very well.
I thought the idea of using a rifle as the weapon, would keep the theme of warfare, and is also a very peculiar and frightening item to use.
I also think the use of a gas mask can create a 'post apocalyptic' theme, and it creates the fear of an unknown, like that of in 'Strangers' and 'Saw.'
I also think the effect of creating the film at night, and with low lighting increases the suspense, and gives it a more eerie feeling, with the theme of keeping a singular antagonist, with a hidden identity.
The use of letters or newspaper articles could be a very effective technique in order to create more mystery, especially if the letters or articles come from an unknown source.
The main theme of a good horror film, I believe is to create an unknown, as this constantly keeps the audience guessing, and trying to resolve the factors that they do not know.
